COSTCO currently has two indoor cycling bikes on display in my local store, the Echelon EX4s and the Proform Tour De France CBC. The echelon bike costs more than double the price of the pro-form tour de france, but is it over twice as good of a bike? First and foremost, I must say the Echelon Connect ex4s is definitely the better indoor spin bike of the two models. I have spent quiet a bit of time on each of these bikes now and have compared them not only head to head but also to many other popular peloton alternative bikes and even up against the peloton bike itself. Is the echelon ex4s connect twice as good as the proform costco bike? I'm not sure i know the answer for sure, but in this video i do show and share everything i can comparing these two models.


The echelon ex4s is very similar to the echelon ex3 and also the echelon ex5s. to me it looks like the echelon ex4s is the same bike as the echelon ex3 with a screen added and a free year of echelon services added to the deal. if you want a free year of echelon app, the echelon connect ex4s is a great way to get that, but you need to remember after a year of that free membership when you but the echelon ex4s from costco you'll need to consider renewing or canceling your autobill membership you are required to enter your credit card info for when you sign up for the free echelon connect deal.


Even if you don't use the echelon app the echelon ex4s is still a great bike in terms of its mechanical components. one area the echelon ex-4s has a small issue with is its feedback lag which i show in the video.


The costco proform indoor bike is a really great value, the drivetrain feels nice and the bike displays metrics that mean something. you can simply add your own tablet to do the ifit classes and you get a free year of ift for free when you buy the proform bike from costco. the proform bike has its own downsides as well, some of which include the aggressive stretched out riding position, and the weak max resistance out of the box.
