And they did a spoof of "Footloose" on 'The Flight of the Conchords' which is my favorite TV show. So if Chase is as good as Bret (McKenzie) everybody's gonna be in for a real treat (laughs.)"

CHASE CRAWFORD TO CUT LOOSE IN "FOOTLOOSE" REMAKE
Chace Crawford is stepping into the starring role in the remake of "Footloose." The "Gossip Girl" actor will reprise the role that made Kevin Bacon a heartthrob back in 1984. Paramount Pictures said Tuesday (19 MAY 2009) that Crawford will star as Ren McCormack, the bad boy in a small town who brings everyone together with his daring moves.
Kenny Ortega, the director of all three "High School Musical" films will direct the movie.
At Thursday's (21 MAY 2009) CW network upfront in New York City, "Gossip Girl" cast member Blake Lively said she can't wait to see Crawford dance in the movie.
"I've never seen him dance. I just want to see the gymnastics work. That's what I'm most excited about. I keep watching the "Footloose" montage on Youtube like, 'Ohmigod! I can't wait for Chase to do this!' "
"Footloose" is scheduled for a 2010 release.
