This week we’re talking about a mundane yet vital issue: drinking water! Each year, France loses 1.3 trillion liters of water, which is the equivalent of 430,000 Olympic swimming pools. To reduce this waste, the French state has launched major works to modernise the water supply as fast as possible. But what is the water's journey to our homes? We follow it from its collection and cleaning to its distribution.
And water ties in with another environmental issue: pesticides. When it rains, the chemical substances used by farmers seep into the soil and go on to pollute the country’s water tables. But how to prevent the contamination? David Gilbert and Augusta Lundardi tell us more.
