Hi πŸ‘‹ ! My Name is Alice, I created The Mini ADHD Coach in August 2020 when I was just diagnosed with ADHD at 29.
After years of questioning, therapy, burnout, and chaotic career path changes, I finally understood why I struggled with so many things.
So I decided to share what I learned to raise awareness around ADHD and help the ADHD community thrive.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, commonly known as ADHD, can often be associated with challenges in focusing, impulse control, and executive functioning. One common manifestation of these challenges is procrastination. Individuals with ADHD may struggle with organizing tasks, estimating the time needed for completion, and initiating activities. They often become easily distracted or overwhelmed, leading to the postponement of tasks. Understanding the link between ADHD and procrastination can be crucial for devising strategies to overcome delays and improve productivity.

Furthermore, the cycle of procrastination can sometimes lead to increased feelings of guilt and stress for those with ADHD. The underlying reasons for this procrastination can be multifaceted. Beyond difficulties with attention and impulse control, many ADHD individuals experience what is known as "time blindness" – a challenge in accurately perceiving the passage of time. This can make long-term tasks especially daunting as the individual struggles to break them down into manageable segments.

More things can be done to help you manage your time wisely and avoid the endless spiral loop that can significantly affect your everyday life. The first step is to accept that procrastination doesn't necessarily mean laziness. It's just that, our ADHD brains are wired differently.
