Watch a Wildside Blendtec get crushed by a hydraulic press. However, before being crushed we do our own version of Will it Blend? I have always been a fan of watching a blender blend household items. So I decided to blend a pair of sunglasses. The Blendtec has no problem blending the glasses. I explain that the blade in the Blentec moves at around 250 miles per hour and 28,000 rpm. At this speed the glasses are shredded in a matter of seconds. Although I was apprehensive about blending the glasses it turned out well with shredded bits of glasses being poured out onto a table top. After the glasses were blended in the Blendtec, it was then time for the Wildside Blendtec to be destroyed by the hydraulic press. We put the Wildside Blendtec in on its side in the hydraulic press. We begin to crush the blender and as the head of the press moves down the Wildside blender gives way to the press. Surprisingly the blender is very malleable under the weight of the press. The blade of the press pops out as the hydraulic press bears down on it. The cold forged hardened steel of the Wildside Blendtec actually takes a divot out of the steel of the press. Since the Wildside Blender was not fully crushed on the first round, it is crushed again standing up, then again on its side. After the crushing is finished the blender is shown to the viewers to see the damage that has been done.
