Shikha Pandey is a right-arm medium pacer and a middle-order batter in the Indian Women’s
Cricket Team that made the entire nation proud by reaching the final of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017. Along with this, she holds a degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from Goa College of Engineering.
She is the first national women cricket player from Goa to have played both state level and international level. She made her One Day International cricket (ODI) and Test cricket debut while playing against England at Wormsley and Scarborough respectively. As of 5 July 2017 she has played two Tests, twenty seven ODIs and twenty two T20s for India.

For her stellar performance in the World Cup, she was felicitated by the Indian Air Force, and is a flight lieutenant. She gave up chances to work in multi-national companies to follow her dreams. In a nation which is obsessed with Men’s Cricket, her effort to bring light to gender equality is the true manifestation of breaking the mould.
