🏉 🐻 Rugby scrum strength beyond the squat 🐻 🏉
ℹ️ In a gym setting you can work on attributes such as trunk, leg and neck strength to help enhance the scrum. Though that doesn’t need to be limited to back squats and banded neck work. 👉 HEAVY SLEDS loaded with teammates can be a great ‘squat pattern’ the lends itself well to enhancing scrum performance during the specific -prep phase of the annual calendar. Or in-season. 🏉 Obviously to dominate the scrum, one needs to scrum. Live. So, make sure there is plenty of scrum drills on the rugby pitch - use this drill to help complement the scrums and build concentric leg strength. 👨💻 As ever, let me know if you have any questions in the comment section. 👋 S A Y - C I A O - H E R E ⬇️ 👉 INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/coachfmt/?hl=en 👉 YOUTUBE: https://www.youtube.com/user/fmtonline 👉 WEBSITE: http://www.fmtraining.co.uk ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ 🎥 Other videos to check out ✔️ TRAINING TRANSFER https://youtu.be/R9pk7dcVMRc ✔️ FULL POWER CLEAN TUTORIAL: https://youtu.be/pmUozlUQuEM ✔️ HOW TO GET FASTER FOR RUGBY https://youtu.be/b8rMTlru2_M Happy Training 🙋♂️ #rugby #rugbystrength #rugbystrengthandconditioning #scrum #legstrength |
