Refugees: a story of success | Natalie Haas | TEDxDonauinsel |
|
How do you turn strangers into friends and a village with refugees into a community? Through many little ideas, in an organic way, a village managed to make something great out of their passions and to truly include the refugees. If we collect all this ideas we can together create a toolbox which helps the refugees and the villages in which they are living in.
Natalie Haas, 20 years old, is graduated pedagogue and studies political science at the University of Salzburg. Passionate, keen and curious to get to know other people and cultures, she saw it as a pleasure to welcome refugees in Berndorf. Now she sees it as her mission to share the experiences, she and the people inside her village made with the refugees, with the whole world to create something good and sustainable out of this pressing issue. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx |
