The lack of gender parity in the governance of corporations has ignited a heated global debate about the most effective way to increase diversity on corporate boards.

That debate took center stage on May 26, 2015, when Stanford’s Center on the Legal Profession and the Arthur and Toni Rembe Rock Center for Corporate Governance co-hosted the discussion “Where are the Women? Dhir and Rhode discussed Dhir’s book “Challenging Boardroom Homogeneity: Corporate Law, Governance and Diversity” which investigates two distinct regulatory models designed to address diversity in the boardroom: quotas and disclosure.
