Highly experienced and accountable for what ultimately goes out on air, the Executive Producer is the BBC's editorial safeguard on every project. They will work with talent, editors and producers to achieve the most professional output possible.
It is the Executive Producer's responsibility to ensure output has exceptionally high standards and meets BBC audience expectations. Every production will have a clearly identified Executive Producer who will draw on advice from the BBC's Editorial Policy department and Programme Legal Advice amongst other centres of advice. They are also responsible for the health and safety of the team, managing the team and contributing to the creative process with ideas for programme development. |
