Mamelodi Sundowns have been crowned Absa Premiership champions for a third straight season on the final day of the campaign. Sundowns were unchanged, with Lebohang Maboe, Themba Zwane and Gaston Sirino leading the front line supported by Promise Mkhuma while Leopards were without their talisman Mwape Musonda due to suspension.

Maboe completed his hat-trick in second-half stoppage time with another close range header to seal the title for Sundowns after Kaizer Chiefs drew 1-1 with Baroka.
