The best cheap bike computer? Garmin unit with HRM + speed/cadence sensor included! |
|
In this episode I show you how to get hold of a great little cycle computer as cheap as possible.
No, I am not going for a brand you have never heard of - I am going Garmin! I hope this gives you food for thought, and makes you question if you need to spend hundreds on a new unit. I buy a Garmin for less than £40 that has GPS, monitors heart rat, monitors power (and reports has advanced Training Peaks metrics), has wireless data transfer and a rock solid charging connection. Oh, and did I mention that the one I got came with a heart rate monitor, speed/cadence sensor, and a full bike fitting kit?!?! While this is not rocket science, I believe this is a sound method to buy a really good first/backup device that is supported by online by the brilliant free Garmin Connect software. Hope you enjoy Regards Darren - Time for Bikes |
