Here’s a good news for buyers who are waiting for the all-new Tesla Cybertruck. During the opening ceremony at the company’s Berlin Gigafactory, Tesla CEO, Elon Musk has revealed that the company will complete the Cybertruck’s development before the end of 2022. That means, the electric pickup truck will enter into production next year. Over 1 million people across the global have pre-booked the vehicle.
The global supply chain constraint has already delayed its launch (which was planned for 2021). In fact, the American automaker has been facing problems to meet demand of its existing cars. This year, the company will focus on increasing production of its existing cars including Model Y and Model 3. Now lets get into the news, First unveiled in 2019, the Tesla Cybertruck has futuristic, wedge-shape design with lots of sharp creases across the body. It’s body construction, which is made up from 30X cold rolled stainless steel, is claimed to be dent resistant and able to withstand 9mm bullets. The electric pickup truck has a minimalist design inside the cabin with a large 17-inch central touchscreen and a uniquely designed U-shaped steering. The Cybertruck can accommodate up to six adults. The electric pickup truck will be offered with three powertrain options – single motor RWD, dual motor AWD and tri-motor ‘Plaid’ EV with AWD. The single motor version can do 0 to 100kmph in 6.5 seconds and offers a claimed range of 402km. The mid-range variant with dual-motor accelerates 0 to 100kmph in 4.5 seconds. It has a towing capacity of over 4,500kg. The range-topping tri-motor variant is capable to do 0-100 kmph in 2.9 seconds and delivers a range of 804km on a single charge. It can tow 6,350kg. Elon Musk revealed that the company’s “primary challenge is affordability”. If reports are to be believed, the Tesla Cybertruck will be more affordable than the Ford F-150 Lighting and GMC Hummer Electric vehicle pickup truck. Tesla’s outspoken CEO thinks his company could be producing 20 million vehicles annually in 10 years’ time. “I think it’s aggressive, but not impossible, that we could do 20 million cars in 10 years,” Elon Musk said at the opening of Tesla’s new Gigafactory in Germany, per a report from Automotive News. “And that would be a good number because there’s 2 billion cars and trucks in the world that are in active use, so 20 million would be then 1 percent of the global fleet per year.” That’s a lofty goal, considering even mighty Toyota produced 8,583,985 vehicles in 2021 inclusive of the Lexus brand, or a tick over 10 million when including Hino trucks and Daihatsu small cars. While the Japanese giant was affected by COVID-19-related lockdowns and supply shortages, that tally still left it as the world’s largest automaker in terms of sales. tesla, cybertruck, cybertruck update, cybertruck update 2021,cybertruck tesla, cybertruck last update, cybertruck update july 2021,cybertruck august 2021,cybertruck fail, cybertruck interior, cybertruck new york, cybertruck test, elon musk, musk, spacex, musk snl, tesla roadster, tesla cybertruck, cybertruck reveal, cybertruck features, cybertruck engineering, cybertruck more update, update cybertruck, cybertruck news, cybertruck news today, cybertruck new design #elonmusk #teslacybertruck #tesla |
