Srivastava is very rich, who lives with his wife and two children, Mahendra and Sundar. He thinks of marrying both his children to girls from a rich family like his own. While Mahendra falls in love with a poor girl named Seema, who lives with her stepmother. Since Seema is poor, her family does not accept her as a daughter-in-law, and unable to find any solution, Mahendra starts drinking and living in a brothel with a prostitute named Bahar.

While spending his holidays in Srinagar, Sundar meets Sapna. Sapna also comes from a poor family. Both start loving each other. After the holidays are over, Sundar returns home and after coming home he comes to know that his sister-in-law has been thrown out of the house after being insulted. He meets his sister-in-law and while they are talking he gets a call, in which his manager informs him about his brother's meeting. The manager takes him to the brothel, and Sundar is shocked to see his brother's condition. He tries to explain to him that he is not doing anything right, but his brother does not listen to him at all.

When Sunder comes out of the room to go to his sister-in-law, Sapna sees him sitting in a taxi, she also calls out to him but Sunder does not listen. Meanwhile, another car hits Sapna. Sapna is taken to the hospital.

While Sundar meets his sister-in-law and is about to tell him this, she faints. Sundar brings him to the same hospital where Sapna is admitted. Sapna is forbidden from speaking due to her poor health. Just then Sundar comes there with his sister-in-law and the doctor congratulates him that he is going to become a father. Sapna hears this.
