Build Keyboard Confidence With Stride Piano (Beginner Lesson)

video thumbnail
Fats Waller, Oscar Peterson, and Scott Joplin.

They’re some of the greatest pianists of all time, and they all played stride piano.

Stride was a hugely popular form of jazz piano in the early 20th century. It’s not easy to play, because it involves jumping your left-hand around the keys (or striding - hence the name).

Because of this, it’s also a fantastic way to improve your keyboard familiarity, accuracy, and your understanding of how chords are made and how you can play them.
