The Israeli army on December 8th released footage it said showed fighting in Shejaiya and a tunnel shaft as Israel sharply stepped up strikes on the Gaza Strip pounding the length of the Palestinian enclave and killing hundreds in a new, expanded phase of the war.

The videos show what is said to be a school compound and debris covering the entrance to a tunnel.
