TACOMA, Wash. — A woman wielding a hammer in Tacoma over the weekend is now charged with criminal mischief, accused of smashing 56 windows at more than a dozen businesses.

That woman, 47-year-old Tami Areson, is no stranger to police or prison in Washington. She is now held, pending the outcome of a mental health evaluation, to determine her competency to stand trial.
