Never heard of Cupra? WTF is a Formentor? We understand. It's a new brand, and a new model, and it's coming to Australia pretty soon.

The Cupra Formentor small SUV bears a coupe-style roofline, stylish looks and plenty of tech and sporty intentions. You could aim it up against style-focused small SUVs like the Toyota C-HR and even the Hyundai Kona, but in reality it could be best considered an alternative to an Audi Q2, Skoda Kamiq, BMW X2 or even a VW T-Roc.

We tested an example of this new compact crossover coupe-SUV in Ireland for a few weeks, where our man Tung Nguyen learned there was a lot to like about the Cupra Formenter 2022 model. There was only really one thing he wasn't as big a fan of, but that doesn't matter all that much for Aussie customers. Curious? Watch the clip and see for yourself.
