I have always thought that proposing to someone meant months or years of preparation, a bucket load of money and a massive crowd to witness it. It turned out to be the total opposite of it.

A year ago, I have met this wonderful and beautiful woman named Jean. It has always been the norm to post who you are in a relationship with and what kind of dates you always have. However, this was different from the past few relationships that I had. I felt joy, positivity and contentment. I felt at home and our love has drawn a few more friends who became close to my heart.

I wanted her to know that I love her so much and I want to be with her and her son. Yes, her son. This might make some men take two steps back but somehow, this did not really bother me right from the very start. I have adored her so much that loving her son is as easy as loving a part of her.

I have missed a few opportunities over the year to say how I really feel and what my intentions really are. So, in just a week after we went to Barcelona, I have bought a ring and informed my closest friends. Within a week, we have planned a proposal. I am finally ready to kneel to the one I truly love for the first time in my life.

During the day, I am the ever routine-based house boyfriend. At night, I have to practice my song with Jose Karlo. My friend Kressa Karla and daughter Hershey also helped in the planning and setting up of the whole thing. Dave and Sherry help with the decorations and videos. The day finally came. I told Jean to dress up as we are going for a little date, When we arrived in the hotel, I whispered to her that she needed to close her eyes and follow me. To her surprise, all our closest friends were there as I sang her one of our favorite songs. I kneeled on one knee and asked her to marry me. My heart was racing so much even after she said YES. This was definitely one moment that is based on emotion, love and friendship. One step closer on a lifetime together with my bestfriend, my partner, my love - Jean Ingrid. Thank you lalove. I do love you so much and you will not regret your decision tonight. 💕
