Muscle Up Tip: Starting Position
If you’re trying a muscle up without creating a pendulum motion, it will be much hard when moving into the transition portion at the top from under the bar pulling vertically. Instead, go under the bar, take a couple steps back, JUMP or LEAN into the bar to create a pendulum motion At the tipping point of that pendulum motion, once you’re just about to swing backwards at the top pull up.
