Traditionally, in order to connect to a third party A.I image generation service (like Midjourney), you’d need to connect through an API. However, currently Midjourney doesn’t have an API. For this reason, many developers have instead been forced to use A.I. image generation services like OpenAI’s Dalle 2 or Stable Diffusion.

However, Midjourney offers some of the highest quality images in the A.I. art space, so it’s been frustrating for developers, since without an API there is no great way to use Midjourney’s art within your own application.

That is, however, until recently. There is a fairly new player in the space called “the next leg” who has created an “unofficial midjourney API”. It’s a paid service, but if your application depends on high quality A.I. art, it’s a small price to pay. Using Bubble’s API connector plugin you could connect directly to their API service in order to generate images directly within your application.
