Dr. Tamarra James-Todd is an epidemiologist at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She has expertise in environmental health and reproductive epidemiology, with a focus on women's health and health disparities. In this talk, Dr. James-Todd discusses the intersections of beauty, environmental justice and scholar activism. Dr. Tamarra James-Todd is an associate professor at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, directing the Environmental Reproductive Justice Lab. She directs the Community Engagement Core for the Harvard MEMCARE Superfund Research Center and is the Deputy Director for the Harvard Chan NIEHS P30 Center. Her research focuses on identifying, designing, and implementing solution-oriented studies to reduce environmental injustice and reproductive health disparities. She founded the Beauty + Justice podcast covering issues of environmental injustice in consumer product ingredients and their impact on health. She's served on national committees, including the EPA and the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine. Originally from Kansas City, MO, Dr. James-Todd received her bachelor's from Vanderbilt University, Masters of Public Health from Boston University, and PhD in epidemiology from Columbia University.
