Leo tolstoy's Defination of Love and Romantic Relationship
Once, a young woman came to Leo Tolstoy and asked him for advice about love. The woman explained that she had fallen deeply in love with a man, but she was unsure whether he loved her back or not. She was confused and a bit afraid about this whole situation. Tolstoy listened to her story and then gave her a piece of paper with the following words written on it: When you love someone, you give them the power to hurt you. If you truly love them, you trust them not to. The young woman didn't understand what Tolstoy meant. So she asked him to explain. Tolstoy replied, Love is about vulnerability. It is about giving someone the power to hurt you, but trusting that they will not. If you truly love someone, you must have faith in them, even if they do not reciprocate your feelings. Love is not about possession or control, it is about freedom and trust. The young woman left Tolstoy feeling enlightened. She realized that love was not about trying to control the other person's feelings, but about trusting in the power of love itself. She went on to love deeply and trust fully, knowing that even if she was hurt, love would still be worth it in the end. Reading Leaf is a platform for books in condensed animation form.
