Bud Tribble and Steve Jobs describing a Product Manager role in 1986

video thumbnail
In the early days on NeXT Computer, a word processor was needed for NeXT's new computer. Bud Tribble, an founding employee and lead engineer at NeXT and now VP at Apple, was tasked to build a word process but was given no specification of what features were needed. This made it impossible for Bud to give an accurate scope to meet the deadline of the NeXT computer launch.

It's awesome to see Bud Tribble and Steve Jobs describe what a Product Manager would do back then.
