The Melbourne Shuffle, is a popular Australian dance. It’s a dance that emerged in the late 1980s in Melbourne, Australia’s underground rave music scene. Fast heel-and-toe action with a style that matches various types of club music is the foundation of the dance. People who dance the Shuffle is commonly known as Rocker (some don't like the term or name Rocking and just call it Melbourne Shuffle) Today is the base fundamental, The almighty Tstep, the bread and butter of this dance. (This IS The Melbourne Shuffle in and of itself) This is not a simple move to learn, it takes lots of time and practice to get it down (like anything) but once you do, you'll be able to travel all across the dance floor. If you didn't know, that's what the Tstep is used for (TRAVELING) This is just a basics video to get you started off. . . DRILLS-Practice going in a straight line and in circles at first and build up leg and muscle memory and strength. The Micro bounces will come later when we go over rocking. I will provide more supplementary info down the road and different angles and other T Step techniques you can do.
