At the Nanoaugmented Materials Industry Summit 2016, Doron Aurbach, a well-known professor from Bar-Ilan University in Israel, introduced a revolutionary technology that overcomes the obstacles and limitations that have held back the development of the lead-acid battery industry. Entitled “Single wall carbon nanotubes for enhancing lead-acid cell performance”, Prof. Aurbach’s presentation shows how the introduction of nanotubes into electrodes can significantly increase charge acceptance and prolong the cycle life by up to 4 times.
