|
What would you do for love? In this touching and intimate interview, mother and daughter share perspectives on their experiences with the education system in Hong Kong, and how they choose to define their own learning experience in one of the most competitive cities in the world.
Hillary Yip is 12-years old, the founder and CEO of education startup, MinorMynas. Hillary is a sought-after speaker at start-up events, including the StartMeUp HK Festival and Jumpstarter, organised by Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund. Joey Law is Hillary’s mother – passionate about education and a strong believer in the power of reading to foster a love of learning in children. Hillary is the founder and CEO of MinorMynas, an online education platform that facilitates language learning opportunities for kids of all ages. To change the way that children learn to speak other languages by encouraging them to chat with other kids their own age through live video calls, children can engage in conversations to learn different languages from one another. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx |
