MITSUBISHI MOTORS CORPORATION (MMC) revealed the all-new OUTLANDER, featuring a new design direction, premium quality, rugged performance and innovative technology. The flagship SUV is reimagined and reinvented in every way and gears up for sale in North America
The first Mitsubishi car to benefit from the brand’s partnership with Nissan shares its underpinnings, powertrain and even bits of the interior with the latest Nissan Rogue, but has more seats. Starting with its exterior design, the fourth-gen Outlander features a boxy design with a traditional stance which is inspired by Engelberg Tourer Concept. The SUV features the latest iteration of the brand’s “dynamic shield” styling motif and a blacked-out honeycomb mesh grille with three horizontal chrome slats. The aggressive in-your-face front end gets a sleek pair of split LED headlamps flanked by projector fog lamps and LED DRLs which get a fair share of chrome surrounds. Moving to its side profile, the blacked-out A, B and C pillars give the roofline a floating effect. The bulging wheel arches neatly incorporate the large 20-inch designer dual-tone alloy wheels which give it a muscular look. Other attractive elements on its side include dual-tone ORVMs and roof rails. Its rear end looks tidy thanks to a pair of wrap-around T-shaped LED taillamps, a roof-mounted spoiler, an upright D-pillar, and a faux silver skid plate. Overall, the new Outlander looks more classy than rugged. The Outlander comes with a dual-tone interior with contrast stitching. The dashboard looks simple and sleek and has a horizontal air-conditioning vent stretching across its length. It has a floating 9-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit and features such as 3-zone automatic climate control, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.8-inch head-up display, Bose audio system and connected car tech. The 2022 Outlander is powered by a 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 181 BHP and 245 Nm. The engine is mated to an 8-step CVT and comes with an all-wheel-drive option. The SUV has five driving modes - Normal, Tarmac, Snow, Gravel and Mud. For the 4WD model, electronically-controlled 4WD incorporating a hydraulic clutch driven by an electric motor is used in the centre coupling device that conducts front and rear torque distribution. The front and rear wheels can be strongly restrained from when the vehicle is stopped, so the rear-wheel drive force is generated at the moment of start off to provide a powerful sensation befitting a 4WD. This in particular generates power under severe conditions, such as starting off uphill on frozen roads. 2022 mitsubishi outlander review, 2022 mitsubishi outlander black edition, 2022 mitsubishi outlander commercial, 2022 mitsubishi outlander base model, 2022 mitsubishi outlander black, 2022 mitsubishi outlander colors, 2022 mitsubishi outlander hybrid, 2022 mitsubishi outlander body kit, 2022 mitsubishi outlander launch edition, 2022 mitsubishi outlander off road test, 2022 mitsubishi outlander problems, 2022 mitsubishi outlander 4x4, 2022 mitsubishi outlander 7 seater Compared with a mechanically identical Nissan Rogue, the 2022 Outlander has lower fuel-economy ratings. An all-wheel-drive Outlander is rated at 24 mpg city and 30 highway, but the Rogue performs slightly better. We've tested both on our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route, and the Mitsubishi's real-world result of 26 mpg was a startling 6 mpg less than the Nissan's result. Prices for the 2022 Outlander start at $25,795 for a front-wheel-drive model. All-wheel drive starts at $27,995. #mitsubishi #MitsubishiOutlander #2022MitsubishiOutlander #2022MitsubishiOutlanderprice #2022MitsubishiOutlanderfacelift #2022MitsubishiOutlanderoffroaddrive #2022MitsubishiOutlanderaccessories #2022MitsubishiOutlanderphev #2022MitsubishiOutlanderbatterypower #2022MitsubishiOutlanderkmrange carexpert, car expert, car review, car expert review, mitsubishi, mitsubishi outlander exceed awd, 2022 mitsubishi outlander exceed awd, mitsubishi outlander exceed awd review, mitsubishi review, 2022 mitsubishi outlander exceed awd review, car expert mitsubishi review, paul maric, australia, autoexpert, auto expert, best 7 seat suv, best mid suv, 7 seat, 7 seat suv, suv review, mitsubishi suv, car advice, caradvice |
