Turkey earthquakes: Indian Army mobilized team to establish medical facility in Turkey |

As multiple earthquakes devastated Turkiye and Syria, India stepped up its relief operations. After Delhi sent NDRF teams and relief material to Turkiye, now Indian Army extended a helping hand. Indian Army on Feb 07 mobilized army field hospital from Agra to establish 30-bedded medical facility in Turkiye. The Agra-based Army Field Hospital has dispatched an 89-member medical team. The first component has already left on IAF C17 with a 45-member medical team. The contingent includes orthopedic surgical team, general surgical specialist team, and medical specialist teams. The teams are equipped with X-ray machines, ventilators, oxygen generation plant, cardiac monitors. The first aircraft with the relief material took off from India on the eve of February 06. The earthquake killed more than 5,000 people and flattened thousands of buildings in Turkiye and neighboring Syria.
