|
The Sullivan Renaissance 2017 Annual Conference afternoon plenary session, held at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, in Bethel, NY.
Expanding on her morning keynote, Cynthia will demonstrate how placemaking strategies and place-based projects contribute to people’s health, happiness and well-being. Topics to be explored include: increasing access to healthy food, opportunities for play and active recreation, social support and connections, having green or natural environments close to home, and enhancing the built environment to provide appealing, safe, and convenient ways for people of all ages to take advantage of all their community has to offer over the course of their lifetime. Participants will be introduced to the Healthy Community Places Audit and guided on ways to use it in their own community. |
