Gazab ka hai din is one of those songs that pretty much defined our childhood, as did the 3 other songs from this film - Qayamat se qayamat tak. And as is the case, fond memories are inextricably linked with these songs - of school picnics, of late night rehearsals for the annual IIT KGP ETMS performances as we painstakingly worked through the complexity and beauty of these compositions, and of good times in general.

We had done both this song and Akele hain to kya gham hai as a part of Raagatonic, but it’s Gazab ka hai din that Remi likes the most, and people who have followed my facebook and youtube channels would have seen her performing this many years back when she could barely pronounce the words.

She knows the words much better now, and I took the advantage of the time I had through this lockdown to create a cover of this song - staying as true as I could to the really beautiful arrangement of the original song. I hope you enjoy this labor of love.
