According to its director Takeshi Aramaki, its gameplay will be focused on speed and fluidity on the ground. 1 Square Enix also described the game as "narrative-driven adventure". 2 The character will be present in an open world where players can explore anywhere, anytime. 3

Plot
The video game focuses on the protagonist Frey Holland ( Ella Balinska ), a young woman who enters the beautiful but dangerous world of Athia for the first time and uses her magical powers to traverse it in order to survive there. 4

Development
Earlier during its development, it was known under the name Project Athia . His title was being developed in order to take advantage of the graphic capabilities of the PlayStation 5 . Technologies included in the game include ray tracing to give greatly enhanced lighting effects and procedural generation for creating locations for large-scale games.

The game's head writer is Gary Whitta , who was previously the co-writer of Rogue One . 5 The game will be exclusive to the PlayStation 5 console for two years. 6 Actress Ella Balinska provided her voiceover and motion capture for Frey and commented that she felt immediately connected to the character. 7
