LaMelo and Will Pluma return LA and are playing in 24 hour fitness together and against each other! Former Chino Hills and Big Ballers AAU teammates were going at it.

LaMelo and LiAngelo Ball arrived back in the U.S. on Monday after their three-month experiment with Lithuanian pro basketball was cut short.

As Lithuanian journalist Donatas Urbonas told For The Win, the time with Vytautas was a worthwhile experience for LiAngelo. It was a different story for LaMelo.

ESPN’s Jeff Goodman joined Outside The Lines on Tuesday, and he relayed conversations he had with the Ball brothers’ former Vytautas teammates. LaMelo was described as “lazy” and “arrogant.”
“For LaMelo, it wasn’t very good. He barely played in the Lithuanian League games. One former teammates described him to me earlier today as ‘lazy’ and ‘arrogant.’ Wasn’t really engaged in the whole process. (He) played undisciplined, which we’ve seen in AAU ball. But didn’t really get better. And that’s the goal over there for a 16-year-old is to improve and get better. Multiple people I talked to on that team, on Vytautas, said LaMelo really never bought in.”

LaMelo, who was pulled out of high school after LaVar Ball’s disagreement with the new coach, averaged just 6.5 points per game in LKL play. He played sparingly and shot 27 percent from the floor.

He returned to the U.S. this week without a professional team and still two years away from NBA draft eligibility.
