When you are the adult child of an alcoholic, you swear things will be different for you, however, when you don't manage the emotional wounds caused by family addiction, sadly, you carry those wounds into adult relationships.

Grandchildren of alcoholics have a distorted family image. We are loyal to a fault and tend to feel anxious. We grow up feeling like something is wrong although we have no physical evidence to point to. Often, our parents are doing such a great job at pretending everything is okay, we assume what is wrong is us.
