One of the best inventions of astronomy in recent years is the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), and when its functions fully unfolded, amazing things were expected from it. Still, no one anticipated that it would return such shocking results; the latest results from the JWST have partly been interpreted to mean that the universe might be an atom. What does this mean? What is the implication of all our previous knowledge of the universe?

On a beautiful Christmas afternoon in 2021, the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) was launched into space, aiming to show us images of objects in space that are either too old or too far for its predecessor, The Hubble Space Telescope, to view. Recently, the telescope sent back words that might have likened the universe to an atom.

On looking at the two objects, the atom, and the telescope, are very far from each other and have very little in common; an atom is the smallest known particle, and the universe is the largest. On further study, you can see the similarities between the two structures.
