Why are people worried about ChatGPT? - BTN High |

Since its launch in November of 2022, ChatGPT, a chatbot that can generate entire essays at the click of a button, has been equally worrying and exciting educators across Australia.
ChatGPT, which stands for Chat Generative Pre-Trained Transformer, is trained on a stack of text data and learns how to predict what word comes next in a sentence. It uses a neural network to help it understand the context of the text in order to generate new text that sounds pretty similar to what it was trained on. Itβs a new field of artificial intelligence known as generative AI, and right now the world is going through a bit of a generative AI boom. Chat GPT, and generative AI, can make aspects of our lives easier, which on one hand is exciting, but also has a few people a little nervous. ππ§π‘ π¦π§π’π₯π¬ π£πππ https://www.abc.net.au/btn/btnhigh/101941360 ππ¨π₯π₯πππ¨ππ¨π πππ‘ππ¦ β Digital Technologies Years 7 & 8: Investigate how digital systems represent text, image and audio data in binary (ACTDIK024) β Digital Technologies Years 7 & 8: Acquire data from a range of sources and evaluate authenticity, accuracy and timeliness (ACTDIP025) β Digital Technologies Years 7 & 8: Define and decompose real-world problems taking into account functional requirements and economic, environmental, social, technical and usability constraints (ACTDIP027) β Digital Technologies Years 7 & 8: Evaluate how student solutions and existing information systems meet needs, are innovative, and take account of future risks and sustainability (ACTDIP031) __________________________________________ Subscribe https://www.youtube.com/behindthenews?sub_confirmation=1 TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@behindthenewstv Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/abcbtn Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/behindthenews/ For the past 50 years, Behind the News has been helping to break down current issues and events for young people all around the world.
