An ancient Greek philosopher who made a huge contribution to the development of higher learning in the western thought. He was a student of Socrates and a teacher of Aristotle. Plato founded Platonist Academy and spent his life writing about justice, beauty and equality, aesthetics, political philosophy, theology, cosmology, and epistemology.
