The world is experiencing unprecedented fuel price increases in part due to energy and political insecurities, up to 7 million air pollution deaths per year worldwide and one climate-related disaster after another. Solutions to these problems invariably require a concerted effort to transform our energy infrastructure, technologies, and policies. Research at Stanford University concludes that these problems can be solved in 145 countries that were examined--without blackouts and at low cost using only clean, renewable energy and storage.

Professor Mark Jacobson sheds light on the pressing need to shift towards clean, renewable energy and storage to address the harmful effects of climate change on air quality, energy accessibility and political stability.
