Nahomi Aso (Stage name: Wakayagi Baikyo)

Nahomi Aso graduated the Department of International and Cultural Studies of Tsuda College and is currently a director of the Wakayanagi School of Japanese Dance.

After studying in the United States, she has worked at global companies such as Sony and HANAE MORI International and engaged in the Olympics from 1990. In 1997, Aso worked as a coordinator under President Samaranch of the International Olympic Committee. Since the year 2000, she works in various fields such as the IT industry, producing a wide range of events, and also as a marketing consultant. As a Japanese traditional dancer named “Wakayagi Baikyo”, Aso has widely performed domestically, including the National Theatre of Japan, and internationally. She also actively promotes international cultural exchanges all over the world such as in Italy, the United States, China and Canada. In Shiroishi City, Miyagi Prefecture, she focuses on developing global citizens by teaching Japanese dance and culture to elementary students as well as teaching English to children at a Noh theater.

麻生 菜穂美(あそうなほみ)芸名:若柳梅京(わかやぎばいきょう)

津田塾大学国際関係学科卒。日本舞踊直派若柳流理事。
米国留学経験を生かし、ソニー、ハナエ・モリ・インターナショナルなどの国際企業を経て1990年からオリンピックに携わる。97年スイス・ローザンヌの国際オリンピック委員会(IOC)でサマランチ会長の下勤務し、調整役として活躍。2000年からはITビジネスにも携り、現在はスポーツ、音楽、街おこし等のイベントプロデュースも手掛け、マーケティング・コンサルタントとしても活動中。また日本舞踊家「若柳梅京」として国立劇場など国内外の舞台に多く立ち、イタリア、アメリカ、オーストラリア、中国、カナダなど世界各地で国際文化交流も積極的に行っている。白石市では数年来、全小学4年生に日舞を基本とした日本文化を指導しているほか、能楽堂での子供講座では英会話も取り入れ、将来の国際人養成に力を注いでいる。
