Because the Steelers’ playoff hopes have likely been dashed, some are beginning to suggest that Mike Tomllin shut down guys like Kenny Pickett and T.J. Watt, both of whom have dealt with multiple injuries this year and could in theory benefit from taking the rest of the season off to recover and ensure their health for the start of the 2023 campaign. In some Steelers injury news, up-and-coming tight end Pat Freiermuth has been added to the injury report with a foot injury, and defensive lineman Chris Wormley will need to have surgery to repair a knee injury he suffered in last week’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
