Burman and Usha Uthup from the 1978 international suspense-caper movie Shalimar (शालीमार) showcasing unique eastern and western fusion and fabulous musical extravaganza. As per the book “Portraits of Pancham” (publisher: Euphony), Usha Uthup being a singer of Madras was asked by Pancham to fuse some ‘Madrasi’ lyrics as per her whims and so there came ‘tirikete tam tiriket te tam ki tam tam ki tam’. Listening to this song is like listening (and watching) to a live concert of Usha Uthup. Fabulous rendition!
