I'm a part of the @courageforamerica nationwide "Back Off Our Benefits" bus tour, which stopped in Asheville, North Carolina, Rep. Chuck Edwards' district, on Friday morning. "Don't cut our Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, veteran's benefits, food stamps -- all the things our lives depend on," said Laura Packard to Rep. Chuck Edwards.

The tour started in Bakersfield California, the home district of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, as we are calling on Speaker McCarthy and other Republican leaders such as Representative Chuck Edwards to protect essential programs, and stop playing dangerous political games with the default crisis.
