The Importance of Recombinant Innovation | Chris Moule | TEDxAberdeen |
|
Chris Moule is the Head of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland. He actively works with entrepreneurial students, staff and graduates, and contributes to the regional innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. He mentors a number of startup companies and has worked in higher education for the past 20 years.
Chris’ talk focuses on Recombinant Innovation - the combining of ideas, products, disciplines to create new ones - and transferring old ideas into new contexts. It highlights how it is fundamental to technological and human advancement and aims to encourage cultural diversity within the workplace, as that promotes collective intelligence and therefore innovation. Recombinant Innovation also inspires people who may think they don't have what it takes to be inventors, by advocating for them to see these old things in new ways.
