Health experts say non-communicable diseases, mental disorders, and maternal mortality continue to take lives in marginalized communities due to unequal access to services. This in 2021 was supported by the World Health Organization, who reported over 4.5 billion people did not have access to health services, including 600 million in Africa. For more, VOA’s Linord Moudou spoke to Dr. Taiwo Oyelade, the Technical Officer for Gender, Equity and Human Rights at WHO’s Africa regional office.
