Nature is gorgeous. Anyone that's been watching this channel for some time already knows just how beautiful natural wonders can be, but never should we forget that it can also be hazardous at times. Volcanoes are fascinating geological features, but they can also be incredibly dangerous. There are around 169 active volcanoes in the United States, and the United States Geological Survey has deemed 18 of them to be at high risk for eruption. These volcanoes are located in Alaska, Washington, California, Hawaii, and Oregon.

While most of these volcanoes are currently considered dormant and pose little to no danger to people living in their vicinity, a few of them could result in major disasters if they were to erupt. Here is a list of the 10 most dangerous active volcanoes in the US.
