Claire Brock is joined by Daniel McConnell, Anatoliy Prymakov, Jim O'Callaghan TD, Senator Annie Hoey & Emma Lane-Spollen to discuss Ireland's struggle to provide accommodation for Ukrainian refugees.

A group of Ukrainian refugees have been forced to sleep on the floors of Dublin Airport as there was no accommodation in Ireland for them.

Daniel McConnell tells Claire that many Ukrainians in Irish hotels worry they and their families will be re-traumatised by not having a secure home.

Anatoliy Prymakov believes a "NPHET-like taskforce" would be a positive thing as this refugee crisis is "a crisis of epic proportions."

Senator Annie Hoey calls for an answer on Minister Darragh O'Brien's request for "political people" to gather lists of vacant homes in different localities.

"We've never heard anything back from that."

Jim O'Callaghan says that it is "inappropriate to have properties that are vacant in Ireland."

Daniel McConnell points out that Jim O'Callaghan was a Dublin City Council member and asks how there are so many "unforgivable" vacant homes.

O'Callaghan believes it will take time and that there needs to be more legislative pressure put on the owners.
