The Nooran Sisters — Jyoti Nooran and Sultana Nooran — are famous musicians trained in the traditional field of ‘Sufi Music’. They are well-known for their performances of the Sufi song Allah-Hoo at CokeStudio@MTV. In 2014, they won the Female Vocalist of the Year award for the song Patakha Guddi from Bollywood movie- Highway. They are greatly appreciated by expatriate Indians who regularly attend their concerts in USA, Canada and other countries.

The Jashn-e-Rekhta is an annual three-day festival celebrating Urdu language, literature and culture. Held every year in New Delhi, this festival is free for all and aims to bring together people from different backgrounds, communities and beliefs as well as those who share a love for Urdu.
