Low-carb diets can shorten life expectancy: study

The results of a 25-year diet study suggest low-carb diets can shorten your life expectancy by up to four years. Of the more than 15,000 Americans studied, those who ate a moderate amount of carbohydrates — about half their caloric intake — lived about a year longer than those who had a high-carb diet.
