What I spend in a week has been an interesting topic on YouTube so I thought I'd share my experience as a 26 Year Old in Brisbane, Australia.

Tracking your expenses is the easiest way to psychologically stop yourself from spending. I generally don't track but give myself a fixed amount of money to spend, which is basically just having a budget. I've done it so long I don't think about it anymore so this was a fun exercise to psych myself out of spending money stupidly.

I would highly recommend giving it a go.

Anywho that is my weekly expenses which when including my fixed costs comes to a total of $392.26 and on an average Australian income after tax per week. My utilisation rate is 31%, now I will say most weeks it is actually about 35%, so I’m not always this good. But tracking your expenses is always a good exercise and gave me some reminders about eating out less.
