Love Island's Haris Namani has already been branded 'disrespectful' by viewers tuning in to watch Monday's launch episode.

The winter series, fronted by new host Maya Jama, kicked off in South Africa with the TV salesman, 20, boldly declaring he's 'never been in a relationship'.

But eagle-eyed fans took to Twitter to call out Haris after discovering loved-up videos his ex-girlfriend Courtney Hodgson had posted on TikTok.

During his introductory video tape, he said: 'I've never had butterflies and I've never fell in love', before ruling out any single ladies whose feet were over a size five.

When asked by Maya if he's 'a relationship type of guy', he replied: 'I've never been in a relationship so it's a hard one for me'.

Taking to Twitter, one fan uploaded a video compilation of Haris with his influencer ex.

During the coupling up, Haris paired up with payroll administrator May Robey, 20.

Courtney, meanwhile, took to Instagram to share a photo of a huge bouquet of flowers sent to her ahead of the Love Island launch.

The influencer previously dubbed the Doncaster native the 'biggest game player' on an Instagram post announcing his participation in the reality show.

Courtney fumed: 'We were only at Winter Wonderland six weeks ago together with my family.'

In a follow-up comment, the furious social media star added: 'Biggest game player going, leaving me for a TV show and I called it from the second he left me.'

When asked how he would know when he'd found the 'one', Haris said before entering the villa: 'The girls I've had in the past, I've never really got out of my shell with the loving part.

He added: 'I mean I've been nice to the girls, that's not a problem, but I've never actually had that feeling.

'But obviously on the show if I'm with a girl for nine weeks I can eventually get out of my shell a bit more.

In the past I've never stayed with a girl so much because I'm always training, and I've got work.

'So imagine being with a girl nine weeks everyday, it'd be different. You could probably see straight away. I'd know.'
